Irene Wa currently lives and works in Mexico City. She earned her MFA from SAIC in 2020, and has had solo exhibitions at Goldfinch and UNAM Chicago. She has also participated in group exhibitions at the Green Gallery and Asimetría in Peru, among others. This past year she participated in a residency at La Wayaka in Chile, and her experiences there greatly influenced the works on view in her Goldfinch exhibition, Crisalida de Sal."
